Azure Cloud Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

An experienced Azure Cloud Engineer is urgently required to join a team responsible for the design and implementation of full suite of large, complex fully-automated infrastructure deployments as part of a technical Transformation programme involving a transition from an on-prem environment to Cloud and Automation. Strong Terraform skills are essential.

• Design, build, and operate my client's Azure infrastructure, adhering to the best practice architecture standards
• Develop and maintain IaC codebase and ensure platform services are safe, performant and operable
• Support development teams through mentoring in IaC and best use of Azure services
• Interact closely with architects, development, and service teams to deliver together
• Operate in an Agile environment, balancing delivery with the need for solid foundations

Skills and Experience

• In-depth Azure expertise, operating at organisation rather than service level
• Experience building, deploying, and operating core services in a multi-account Azure architecture
• In-depth experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform and Git
• Detailed experience of the full workings of Azure DevOps pipelines
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible
• Good working knowledge of containerised environments (Kubernetes/Docker)
