What you’ll do
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Workday Finance Functional Analyst to join our Technology, Data and Innovation team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. This role partners with Finance to support FP&A, Expenses, Procurement, and Projects. As a Workday SME, the role gathers requirements, delivers configured solutions, maintains master data, supports testing, and resolves complex issues while managing core financial configurations and knowledge sharing.
Role Responsibilities
- Serve as the TDI partner supporting Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A reporting, Expenses, Procurement, and Projects
- Provide consultation to Financials COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, and providing solutions and impact analysis
- Serve as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities
- Maintain master data values in Workday across areas of responsibility
- Configure, test, validate, and implement Business Process changes in Workday
- Assist in testing of integrations, security, and recurring events
- Provide input and knowledge sharing with the Workday Team Lead, Workday Team members, and clients as appropriate
- Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issues
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
- Design and maintain system configuration, such as cost centres and consolidations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Workday Finance experience or training preferred
Knowledge
- Understanding of Workday as a product and how this is used within business
- Understanding of Finance operations and experience in Finance data management and reporting
Experience
- Finance functional experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with Finance and IT clients
- Ability to accurately collect information in order to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
