About the Role
We are on the hunt for a Machine Fitter/Parts Maker to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the production of various types of packaging machinery, including the assembly of machines and the production of a range of component parts.
Responsibilities
- Production of various types of packaging machinery, including assembly of machines, and production of a range of component parts.
- Operate drilling machines, saws, lathes, grinders, and hand tools to make parts from metal stock.
- Read technical drawings, in order that parts are made to the correct engineering specification.
- Read technical assembly drawings to build complete machines from component parts supplied.
- Set up machines to run specific configurations of cartons and products.
- Test packaging machines once completed, and make necessary adjustments for optimal running.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role or environment.
- Adherence to the Company's Health and Safety procedures and guidance.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures/instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use hand tools competently.
- Good housekeeping practices.
- Willingness to learn and progress in the role.
Hours and Pay
39.00 hours per week. Working hours Mon–Fri 07:45 – 16:15. Mid-morning break and lunch break as specified in your contract of employment.
