Nights Warehouse Shift Manager

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a leading independent parcel, mail and logistics services company operating throughout the UK and Ireland. We are hiring a Nights Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our night shift warehouse operation in Wellingborough.

  • Salary: £30,000 per annum / £14.42 per hour
  • Location: Wellingborough - DX-2
  • Position Type: Permanent
  • Closing Date: 31 May 2026

Role Summary

The Shift Manager reports to the Operations Manager and leads all aspects of the daily shift operation cost-effectively and productively, ensuring service meets SLA and KPI targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the warehousing operation for the shift, ensuring effective and accurate sortation of goods.
  • Ensure activities are undertaken in line with company policies in a safe and proactive manner.
  • Manage costs and performance of the shift.
  • Lead and engage a team to drive excellent customer service.
  • Effectively manage performance, conduct, absence, engagement, training, and development of team members.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify actions, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Provide shift summary and handover record with exceptions.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in the logistics or distribution industry.
