Plant Supervisor

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is currently seeking a Plant Supervisor to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division and play a key role in launching our brand-new asphalt manufacturing plant in Wellingborough. This is a full time, permanent role.

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

The successful Plant Supervisor will join a brand-new team and will be crucial to setting up the new plant.

Duties of the Plant Supervisor role

  • Supervising and motivating the operational team to achieve excellence and continual improvement in both quality and efficiency
  • Managing stock levels of fuel, constituent and raw materials
  • Ensuring mixing plans are carried out in an effective and cost-effective manner
  • Carrying out all weighbridge functions, including managing the daily delivery schedule
  • Reporting critical issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Generating task specific risk assessments and safe working practices
  • Controlling and supervising contractors in line with company health, safety and environmental policies

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience with asphalt plant manufacturing operating systems
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices and legislation
  • Experience operating loading shovels, telehandlers and weighbridges
  • Strong customer focus and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
