Assistant Quantity Surveyor
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support social housing projects in Ongar, Essex. This is a permanent, on-site role.
Job Details
- Job Type: Permanent
- Location: Ongar, Essex – Onsite
- Rate of Pay: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and documents for social housing projects
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditure, and report on cost variations
- Support contract administration
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve cost-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of project costs and contribute to financial reporting
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Some experience in construction cost management, preferably within social housing
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with cost management software is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
