[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Wakefield. The role involves supporting EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classes and small groups. Full-time temporary contract with potential to become permanent. Daily rate: £102.50 - £120.
The Role
- Be able to adapt to the needs of the child in lessons and assist them in their school day.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage the children to stay on task.
- Clarifying and explaining any questions or instructions given to the pupil.
- Support the class teacher with any additional duties.
- Full time, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP, temporary contract to be become permanent after a qualifying period of time, for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification – CACHE, NCFE, Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Recent experience in a school in the UK supporting primary aged students is essential.
- Experience working with SEN education is ideal.
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build a strong, professional rapport with children and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to carry one out.
