Job Description

Are you a passionate Science educator looking to make a real impact in Wakefield? [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher in Wakefield to join a forward-thinking school on its journey from Good to Outstanding. This is your chance to help shape a thriving Science department and inspire students to explore, experiment, and excel. This role is to start ASAP working full time, Monday to Friday till the end of the school year.

The Role

  • Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3–KS4 (KS5 a bonus)
  • Plan and deliver lessons that ignite curiosity and critical thinking
  • Support students’ progress and development through effective assessment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery
  • Contribute to the school’s mission to achieve Outstanding status

Who We’re Looking For

  • Holds QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or combined Science
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skill
  • Motivated to help the school grow and achieve Outstanding recognition
  • Innovative, collaborative, and committed to inspiring students
  • A minimum of 6 months experience teaching the UK Science curriculum.
