The Role

This hands-on, influential role places you at the heart of winning and delivering work. You'll build accurate and competitive estimates while helping shape bidding strategies.

  • Preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates within agreed timescales
  • Supporting tenders from early stage through to submission
  • Working closely with internal teams to align estimates with delivery strategy
  • Engaging with the supply chain to build competitive pricing
  • Identifying and assessing risks across bids
  • Supporting the Bid Manager and wider team on tender activity
  • Contributing ideas that strengthen submissions and approach
  • Maintaining and developing estimating data and cost libraries

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with estimating experience in construction, or a solid sector background with strong numerical skills. Key attributes:

  • Comfortable working with drawings, specifications and technical information
  • Confident reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Able to pull together cost plans, budgets and tender submissions
  • Familiar with estimating software (Trimble or similar ideal)
  • Detail-focused, organised and commercially aware
  • Team player who's proactive and keen to get involved
