The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Workshop Operative to join our busy depot team in Erith. This is a hands-on, varied role where you will support multiple areas of the operation including logistics, transport, customer service, and engineering.

About the Role
Working across all areas of the depot, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of operations. Duties may include assisting with deliveries and collections, vehicle loading and unloading, stock control, and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support depot operations across logistics, transport, engineering, and customer service
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Support deliveries, collections, and movement of equipment
- Carry out stock control and equipment checks
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the depot
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient depot operations
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and promote a safe working environment
- Use internal technology platforms and systems to move and manage equipment

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems and technology
- Ability to work using your own initiative and as part of a small team
- Adaptable and willing to support different areas of the depot
- Positive attitude with a commitment to learning and development
- Good housekeeping and organisational skills
- Willingness to undertake forklift truck training
