An excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with field sales experience who is looking to develop their career within a technically focused, engineering-led environment.
About the Role
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], part of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], is looking for a commercially minded and customer-focused Sales Manager to support the growth of our Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) and value-added engineering services across the UK.
This is a consultative, solutions-led role where you will work closely with customers to understand their operational, safety, and compliance challenges, and deliver tailored service solutions.
Rather than selling on price alone, you will build long-term partnerships by delivering value through expert inspection, testing, certification, and asset management services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their engineering, compliance, safety, and operational needs
- Identify customer challenges and develop tailored TIC and service solutions
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through networking, research, and site visits
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including engineers and decision-makers
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to implementation
- Collaborate with internal engineering, bid, and operations teams to develop proposals
- Develop value-based business cases focused on safety, compliance, and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Provide customer and market feedback to enhance service offering
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in a field-based sales role
- Experience within consultative, solutions-based B2B sales
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to understand technical or service-led offerings
- Experience managing and progressing a sales pipeline
- Comfortable using CRM systems
Desirable:
- Experience within engineering, technical, compliance, inspection, or service-led environments
- Exposure to Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) services
- Ambition to progress within a growing engineering services organisation
