[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Services is seeking a Hire Desk Controller for their Newark Road, Ollerton depot. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive annual salary.

We work closely with local contractors, tradespeople and national partners, helping keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Working Hours

  • Start Time: 7:30am
  • Finish Time: 5:00pm
  • Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll be at the heart of the depot — the first point of contact for many of our customers and a key link between our teams on the ground. Building strong relationships is central to this role. You’ll manage the full hire process, from taking enquiries and processing orders through to coordinating delivery and collection. You’ll work closely with drivers, engineers and stock teams to make sure customers receive the right equipment, on time, every time.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Handling hire enquiries and processing customer orders
  • Coordinating with depot teams to ensure equipment availability
  • Communicating clearly with customers to manage expectations
  • Minimising delays and resolving issues proactively
  • Delivering a high standard of service that reflects our local reputation

This is a desk-based role, but very much team-oriented — collaboration and communication are key.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to adapt in a busy depot environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience within the hire industry or a similar sales/operational role
