What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A positive, can-do attitude towards problem solving

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Current paediatric first aid certificate
  • Safeguarding and child protection training
  • Current food hygiene certificate

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work as part of a team and provide a home from home environment for all children
  • Keep and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Model best practice in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Support the Room Leader to ensure the highest standards of Early Years care and Education

Responsibilities:

  • Use a friendly approach with parents, carers, children, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and educational environment
  • Maintain a homely environment that is clean and organised
  • Implement interesting and inspiring activities for children to learn through play
  • Build relationships with Key Children, record interests and achievements
  • Communicate with parents/carers through the Satchel app, face to face, or report writing
  • Ensure understanding and following of company policies and procedures
