What You’ll Need
Essential:
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
- A positive, can-do attitude towards problem solving
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in an Early Years setting
- Current paediatric first aid certificate
- Safeguarding and child protection training
- Current food hygiene certificate
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work as part of a team and provide a home from home environment for all children
- Keep and maintain accurate records and reports
- Model best practice in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Support the Room Leader to ensure the highest standards of Early Years care and Education
Responsibilities:
- Use a friendly approach with parents, carers, children, and colleagues
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and educational environment
- Maintain a homely environment that is clean and organised
- Implement interesting and inspiring activities for children to learn through play
- Build relationships with Key Children, record interests and achievements
- Communicate with parents/carers through the Satchel app, face to face, or report writing
- Ensure understanding and following of company policies and procedures
