Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £13.00-£13.70 per hour (full time equivalent £27,248 - £28,715.20)

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A positive, can-do attitude

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting
  • Current paediatric first aid certificate
  • Safeguarding and child protection training
  • Current food hygiene certificate

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work as part of a team and provide a home from home environment
  • Keep and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Model best practice in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Support the Room Leader to ensure highest standards

Responsibilities

  • Use a friendly approach with parents, carers, children, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe, stimulating, educational environment
  • Maintain a homely, clean, and organised environment
  • Implement interesting activities for learning through play
  • Build relationships with Key Children, record interests and achievements
  • Be available for Key Children; responsible for their care and development
  • Communicate with parents via Satchel app, face-to-face, or reports
  • Follow company Policies and Procedures; share safeguarding responsibility
