What You’ll Need

Essential

  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A positive, can-do attitude towards problem solving

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting
  • Current paediatric first aid certificate
  • Safeguarding and child protection training
  • Current food hygiene certificate

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work as part of a team to provide a home from home environment
  • Keep and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Model best practice in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Support the Room Leader to ensure highest standards of Early Years care and Education

Responsibilities

  • Use a friendly approach with parents, carers, children, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe, stimulating, and educational environment
  • Maintain a homely, clean, and organised environment
  • Implement interesting and inspiring activities for learning through play
  • Build relationships with Key Children, record interests and achievements
  • Communicate with parents/carers via Satchel app, face-to-face meetings, or reports
  • Follow company Policies and Procedures
