Project Manager North East

The Role
Due to continuous growth and internal promotions, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to enhance our operational team. You must have extensive experience of project management methodologies as well as demonstrable experience of leading, developing and building project teams. As Project Manager you will be accountable for the renewable projects to ensure that all project objectives and activities are delivered.
Key Activities
- Team Leadership – Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams, lead by example, and guide the team through challenges and foster a positive work environment. Guide and develop the team’s skills and capabilities, provide mentoring, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
- Project Planning – Develop project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Create a comprehensive project schedule and allocate resources accordingly. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Stakeholder Management – Identify and engage key stakeholders, both internal and external. Communicate project progress and address concerns. Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and other relevant parties.
- Budget Management – Develop and manage the project budget. Monitor and control project expenses. Ensure financial accountability and adherence to budget constraints.
- Quality Assurance – Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables. Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management – Identify potential risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation. Regularly assess and update the risk management plan. Implement contingency plans as needed.
- Project Monitoring and Reporting – Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables. Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders. Address deviations and take corrective actions.
- Change Management – Effectively manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources. Assess the impact of changes and communicate adjustments.
- Communication – Facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders. Resolve conflicts and ensure clear understanding of project objectives.
Required Skills
- Significant experience of project management in technical or renewable technologies, ideally with in-depth knowledge of construction and contractual project management. APM Practitioner, MSP or Prince 2 Practitioner. Applicants should be educated to degree level or demonstrate significant relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Management of team, ensuring a dynamic and supportive workspace.
- Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Understanding and managing project budgets.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to adapt to changes and unforeseen challenges.
- Proficient in negotiation techniques.
- Effective time management skills.
- Detailed understanding of Health & Safety and legal requirements.
