Accounting Graduate Job – Tax Trainee

This accounting graduate job is looking for someone to work in the tax department as a tax trainee.

About the Role
Working in the Manchester city centre office, we are accepting applications from graduates wishing to pursue a career in tax and gain the prestigious Chartered Accountant (ACA) professional qualification. There will also be an opportunity to gain the Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification, either concurrently or after completion of ACA. The three-year training contract involves a comprehensive study and work experience programme. Full training and exam support, using specialised training companies, will be given. Paid study leave is offered in addition to annual and statutory holiday entitlement. Our client base is diverse, ranging from large companies to small sole traders, providing wide exposure to a variety of work experiences. We offer a hands-on advisory service, giving direct client contact and the chance to make a real contribution to client affairs.
Who We Are Looking For
Applicants should have an average of AAB or better at A Level, and be predicted or achieved at least a 2:1 honours degree. We are looking for individuals who are:
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion
- Excellent communicators with interpersonal skills required to work with clients at all levels
- Problem-solvers; ability to consider matters critically and to think outside the box
- Good time managers with ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Able to thrive in an environment advising on a wide range of matters, often outside comfort zone, requiring research and learning new areas
