Manager, Digital Assets and Money, Payments & Innovation
The Payments and Innovation Manager will work as a senior policy advisor on all issues relating to digital assets and money across the UK payments landscape, including on stablecoins, tokenised deposits, CBDCs, tokenised securities and more. This is a cross-cutting area of work and the successful candidate will support the industry to respond to consultations, influence government and regulators, develop [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] policy and thought leadership, and contribute to projects. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of digital assets and money topics, coupled with experience of the wider UK payments landscape, the regulatory frameworks for digital assets and money, and the key issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support industry policy and advocacy: Coordinate with members and regulators, government and Bank of England to define industry policy positions and areas for advocacy. Provide expertise and guidance to members and other stakeholders on digital assets and money developments. Be seen as an industry expert on these topics both internally and externally.
- Policy and Regulatory Guidance: Stay abreast of the latest developments in regulations and policies predominantly in the UK, but also internationally, providing insights and guidance to industry participants. Advocate for best practices and industry standards as digital assets and money are operationalised in the UK. Lead work on industry responses to consultations, ensuring that detailed feedback is provided that shapes the frameworks.
- Committee Support and Administration: Support the running of key member committees, ensuring efficient and effective operation. Actively participate in committee meetings, contributing to discussions and providing expert advice on digital assets and money matters. Deputise for senior colleagues as required, representing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in high-level industry meetings and discussions. Prepare agendas, minutes, and other administrative documents for committee meetings, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
