Sales Estimator (Projects)

Location: Glenrothes, UK | Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday | Salary: £DOE

Outline of Role and Responsibilities

To be part of the sales team working to provide new and sustained sales growth. The individual will receive relevant training and assume duties including estimation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (PIB) products. This role is cross-functional incorporating estimation to support group growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dealing with customer and internal sales enquiries.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers, including account management.
  • Attending customer meetings and creating detailed proposal documents.
  • Negotiating price, cost, delivery, and specifications with buyers.
  • Sourcing raw materials and services from suppliers.
  • Formulating accurate ITT packages, project bids, and general quotations.
  • Maintaining internal sales logs and attending monthly sales meetings.
  • Interpretation of Engineering Drawings and Material Take Offs.
  • Conducting Contract Reviews and coordinating between Sales and Project Teams.
  • Procurement of materials and supporting ongoing projects with commercial work.

Desired Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing (cladding, welding, machining) background preferred.
  • Experience of an Account Management system is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships remotely and face-to-face.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise a high-volume workload.
  • Efficient in all Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in a similar manufacturing background is an advantage.

  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Able to organise and prioritise tasks.
