VCARB F1 Team - Model Design Placement

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for a motivated and visionary student to join our Aerodynamics Department. This is a 13-months placement opportunity, starting in July 2026 in Milton Keynes (UK).

Responsibilities

  • Model Design: Create robust parametric CAD models, using both surface and solid body reference geometry, ready for manufacture of Wind Tunnel model components; generate component and assembly drawings with clear tolerances; optimize designs around packaging constraints and performance; complete FEA simulations; conduct lab tests; take on larger scale design projects as part of a small team.
  • Your Application: Once submitted, you may receive an invitation to complete the Red Bull Wingfinder assessment (not mandatory but recommended). Due to high volume, individual feedback is not provided except for interviewed candidates.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 1 year into your undergraduate degree.
  • Focused on achieving excellence within a fast-paced team environment.

  • Creativity, proactivity and innovation.
  • Capability of working to deadlines.
  • Working towards a relevant technical degree (Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
  • Fluency in English.
