Purpose of the Position

The position is for an investment professional on the European Secondaries Investment Team; based in London and reporting to either a VP or a Principal on the team. The individual will provide support to the senior members of the team by working on secondary transaction opportunities, as well as any other investment related initiatives that are undertaken over time. The role will be evenly split across both GP-led and LP-led secondaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to global teams and support the execution of investment opportunities across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s platform as appropriate. Supporting the secondary team on financial modelling and assessment of private equity secondary investment opportunities including, providing support in relation to the management of flow of diligence materials received, preparing for and contributing to diligence calls, supporting transaction due diligence, helping with the preparation of the investment recommendations and participating in the discussion of the opportunity at the Global Secondary meetings as well as Secondary Investment Committee.
  • Construct personal opinions around various investment opportunities, with an ability and desire to consider the merits and considerations of investment types.
  • Supporting other more senior team members on deal negotiations and deal completion.
  • Monitoring the evolution and performance of completed transactions as well as selected Private Equity Funds across the European Private Equity market.
  • Responding to Client Service requests and supporting other secondaries business development and origination initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct).

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Prior financial analysis and valuation modelling experience required, built either in a principal investment firm or investment bank.
  • A self-starter with an ability to think creatively to solve problems and find solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and promote and demonstrate a positive, team-first attitude.
  • Ability to work to tight deadline with limited supervision and to manage workloads efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of one or more European languages is advantageous, but not essential.
