Support Worker (ECH)
Salary: £13.65 per Hour | Location: Peebles | Permanent, Part Time
The Role
Flexible opportunities including: 15, 22.5 or 30 hours per week (2, 3 or 4 shifts) or 20.5 hours per week on Waking Nights (2 per week). Interviews are scheduled for Thursday 21 May 2026. Please indicate if interested in weekend only work or waking nights.
Come and join our team as a Support Worker at Dovecot Court our extra care housing development in Peebles! As a Support Worker you will deliver person-centred support, to ensure tenants maintain their independent tenancies in a warm, friendly, and safe environment. You will directly support them in their homes by providing advice, assistance, direct personal and emotional care, or help them to access and use our social hub for meals and activities at the heart of the development. You should have experience of supporting older people living within their own home, ideally in a supported housing environment.
If you have an interest in providing excellent care and support for people over the age of 60 who have a range of care and support needs in their own tenancies, this is the job for you! Dovecot Court is ideally located to ensure our tenants are supported to stay connected to their local community of Peebles.
You should ideally have (or be willing to work to) SVQ3 in Health and Social Care. You will need good ICT skills and be able to use MS Office 365 as well as care, staff, and housing management software, with a positive approach to learn and use new tools as they become available. Most importantly you should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s vision and values. We are looking to fill several varying shift patterns including waking nights, over 7 days, with individual requirements being discussed at interview stage.
We have various options for the number of hours you would work per week, including weekend only shifts.
