In this role, you will support the Trustee team in delivering a high‑quality client service across a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact for service delivery. The role involves producing accurate and timely service deliverables, ensuring client and stakeholder expectations are met at all times. You will work closely with both junior and experienced colleagues to support the delivery of capital markets services to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group’s clients, contributing to a collaborative and high‑performing team environment. All tasks must be carried out efficiently, professionally, and to a consistently high standard. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients is a key part of the role, including responding to queries promptly and providing requested documentation in a clear and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand client requirements and undertake the day-to-day management of a portfolio of clients
- Provision of work at a high level of foundation technical content, on more specific and specialised work such as amendments, restructurings and events of defaults for example
- Work with colleagues to define priorities, giving guidance, sharing know-how, providing expertise, and supporting junior members of the team as required
- Identify areas for improvement in policies, processes, procedures and systems
- Assist with internal KYC and on-boarding processes
- Carrying out any ad hoc requests from the Senior Managers and Head SPV of Trustee Services
- Ensure that all relevant transaction-linked information and contact information is being put in data management system
- Drafting (in general limited to in-house agreements), review and execution of legal documentation in line with internal process
- Participate in a wide variety of structured finance transactions
- Take responsibility and ownership for a portfolio of SPV clients
- Liaison with clients, external transaction parties and internal deal teams to ensure the smooth setup and ongoing management of the transaction
- Review of transaction documentation for transaction obligations after the closing of a transaction, establish necessary procedures for on-going management of the transaction
- Manage existing transaction issues as they arise including dealing with ad hoc enquiries, amendments to transaction documents, restructurings, default and termination processes and other matters during the life of the transaction
- Post time accurately in the internal time management system keeping to relevant submission deadline
- Review client WIP and recoverability and billing, including debtor management and credit control working with internal finance
- Maintain/manage/develop excellent working relationships with all clients/advisors and promote services where appropriate
- Be an initial escalation point and handle employee and client issues to achieve resolution
- Contribute towards business development including preparing quotes, meeting with clients etc
- Liaise with clients, law firms, investments banks and other industry professionals, leading meetings as necessary
- Understand of the strategic importance of revenue, productivity, and chargeability
- Work with the Head of Business Unit to understand [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group strategic objectives and apply these into deliverables for the team
- Work with the Head of SPV & Trustee Services and Commercial Director to develop client and other external relationships
- Keep up to date on changes in the market, legislation, regulation and best practice, cascading and training as necessary
Key Requirements
- Degree Qualifications (2.1 or above) or equivalent; legal background preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a corporate trustee role or general legal review of corporate trust documentation
- Competent in all MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Familiarity and understanding of payment systems and processes
- First-class client service skills
