Shift Supervisor (Weekends) - Full Time Weekend

Location: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

Shift: Weekends Fri – Sun 6am – 6pm

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Our inhouse capabilities include large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly. You will inspire positive change and drive efficiency within a modern, purpose-built manufacturing site (87,000sqft), kitted out with state-of-the-art Welding bays, Press and CNC machining centres. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in production leadership to take on a key role within a dynamic and growing team.

About the Role

  • Layout and organize the production process to provide maximum efficiency and process control.
  • Ensure commercial consideration is given to all decisions.
  • Implement and maintain strict quality controls across the fabrication and welding process.
  • Ensure team members are fully trained: to use the relevant machines and equipment; to understand standard operating procedures; to produce the required quality; and to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage the department and ensure that all employees fulfil their respective responsibilities.
  • Apply best practice in working methods and material handling to reduce hazards and risk of accidents and to ensure a safe working environment, which complies with health and safety standards.
  • Develop personnel in line with their capabilities, expectations and the Company’s requirements.
  • Actively seek and apply continuous improvements to all processes and systems.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Shift Supervisor or similar role, within a manufacturing / Engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams of Production colleagues, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop people.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to enforce these effectively.
  • Competence in production planning and computer literate.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
  • A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
  • Background in welding/fabrication desirable.
