Laser Operator Weekend Nights x 5 – [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a Yorkshire-based engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 390,000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham. We provide services to leading OEMs in defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling, and rail. We are seeking a Laser Operator to join our highly skilled Laser Cutting team.
About the Role
- Operate hoist/crane to load sheet steel onto laser bed
- Setting the machine up for cutting
- Unloading parts and unused sheet steel and storing
- Ensure Laser Machines are supplied with the correct materials
- Ensure material is checked for size, thickness and grade prior to cutting
- Cut and shape the correct materials according to engineer drawings
- Inspect finished components; marking up of cut parts, cleaning and fettling products
- Ensure parts and sheets are handled and labelled correctly
- Ensure the parts are routed correctly to the next department/team
About You
- Knowledge working within a machining operative / machine minding capacity or general laser production
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Slinging and lifting crane experience
- A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas

Job Overview
Location: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)
Job Title: Laser Operator Weekend Nights x 5 – [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
Rate: £18.65 - £22.44 / hour
Shifts: Saturday and Sunday 6pm – 6am – plus one 8 hour shift midweek.
