[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring Welder/Fabricators for weekend shifts at their new Rotherham facility. Salary: £22.66 per hour. Shift: Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm.

We provide services to OEMs in defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling, and rail. Capabilities include laser cutting, press braking, CNC machining, fabrication & welding, shot blasting, painting, and assembly.

About the Role

  • Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium
  • Weld various joint configurations in all positions
  • Ensure equipment parameters are set to optimum to satisfy weld quality, integrity, and WPS requirements
  • Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
  • Satisfy production schedules to correct quality level within specified time scale
  • Carry out and record daily/weekly/monthly maintenance checks and safety checks
  • Ensure correct marking up of component parts
  • Ensure labelling system is adhered to

About You

  • Recent/relevant Welding/Fabrication Experience
  • Understanding of quality procedures and specific customer requirements
  • Ideally a coded welder
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
  • Proficient with metal fabrication tools
  • Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
  • Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain focused on quality
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Working Hours

Shift Pattern: Friday – Sunday, 3 x 12 hour days, 6am – 6pm.
