Claims Handler [European Motor]
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is hiring a Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of international Motor claims, focusing on European portfolios including Netherlands, France and wider Europe. The role involves handling complex cross-border claims, overseeing TPAs, negotiating settlements, and ensuring strong reserving discipline. Based in London with hybrid working.

Responsibilities
- Handling complex, cross-border claims, including disputed, high-value matters and claims involving bodily injury and catastrophic losses
- Reviewing and overseeing claims handled by TPAs, particularly those exceeding authority limits
- Applying strong technical knowledge across liability, coverage and reserving
- Negotiating with counterparties, legal representatives and stakeholders
- Identifying trends and contributing to portfolio performance and savings initiatives
- Supporting due diligence and integration of newly acquired portfolios
- Collaborating across teams to ensure consistent claims handling standards
Candidate Requirements
- Right to work in the location you’re applying to
- Proven experience handling Motor claims across European jurisdictions
- Exposure to Dutch and/or French motor portfolios (Essential)
- Strong understanding of motor liability and policy coverage interpretation
- Experience working with or overseeing Third-Party Administrators (TPAs)
- Confidence handling complex or high-value claims
- Solid reserving and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and competing priorities
