English Teacher

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring GCSE English teacher for a permanent part-time position at Oxford College. This role involves teaching GCSE English Language, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in departmental activities.

About the Role

You will be responsible for teaching learners studying GCSE English Language. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential. Alternatively, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to get into teaching.

Additionally, you may also be asked to contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources for GCSE Language, Literature and A Level English. As well as participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and school events, and support extracurricular activities or clubs related to the subject area.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • A level 3 qualification in English or a related subject
  • A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
