Salary: £31,387 - £37,463 Pro Rata

About the role

The role will deliver across our Creative Arts provision Level 3 qualification and will support the continued development of Photography within the curriculum area. You will deliver subjects that may include studio photography, location photography, image editing, visual communication, project methodology, portfolio development, contextual studies, and self-promotion/marketing for creative practitioners, with strong expertise in digital photography processes and industry-standard software.

You will work collaboratively with our existing team of talented and passionate lecturers to ensure we plan and deliver purposeful, practical, and theoretical lessons. Our students are eager to learn, and we want to appoint someone who can provide them with a high level of knowledge and skills that they can utilise in their careers, progression to university, or within the rapidly changing creative industries.

What do you need to be a successful Photography Teacher at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]?

You will have extensive knowledge of a broad range of historic and current practitioners within the arts (photographic and otherwise). In-depth knowledge and experience of a large range of photographic formats and processes, both conventional and alternative, in digital and darkroom. Experience of studio photography, including lighting, flash, etc. Good working knowledge of digital working through Adobe programmes.

Previous teaching experience in the FE sector would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
