Customer Development – Sea

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing Sales & Customer Development Team. Our Bradford office is looking for a motivated, proactive, and customer-focused candidate to join their growing office. The primary focus of the role will be preparing quotations for shipments to and from destinations across the world.

  • Location: Bradford office – on-site
  • Employment type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: Competitive

Role Responsibilities

  • Handling worldwide quotation requests from customers and agents
  • Using tariffs, haulier lists and supplier portals to obtain competitive costing information
  • Liaising with carriers and suppliers to secure the best service at the best price
  • Ensuring all quotes include BIFA Terms & Conditions
  • Making follow-up courtesy calls to strengthen relationships and secure bookings
  • Handing over confirmed jobs clearly and accurately to operational teams

Requirements

  • Confident using initiative and common sense
  • Strong communicator with great interpersonal skills
  • Able to negotiate effectively with customers and suppliers
  • Flexible, proactive and willing to get involved in day-to-day activity across the team
  • Achieving financial targets set by the business
  • Committed, motivated, energetic, and fun with a positive can-do attitude
  • Ideally with previous experience of Sea freight
