Housekeeper

About the role

As a Housekeeper at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of service within the home. Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, you will deliver the highest cleaning standards to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance to the cleaning schedule, maintaining the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met, and infection control policies and universal precautions are followed at all times.
• Actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices, respecting their dignity and communication differences.

Training, Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in a similar position is advantageous but not essential – full training provided.
• A passion for care – genuinely caring individual who puts residents first.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, high attention to detail.
