Role Overview
The Rents Team is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person to provide support to a busy team of Housing Officers working to provide an effective income and debt management service to our residents ensuring that the focus is on tenancy sustainment. The team are responsible for the collection of income from over 5,100 properties and the successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate reconciliation of payments such as Allpay, Standing Orders and Direct Debits. You will also be responsible for monitoring rent for garage licensees and taking appropriate recovery action and also making initial contact with former tenants following termination of tenancy to agree/negotiate a repayment plan. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a busy team ensuring all income management functions are undertaken to a high standard, within the required timescales and in accordance with agreed targets. We want to help our residents to sustain their tenancies and ensure that everyone receives an excellent customer experience.
Requirements
- Good IT skills especially with MS Office packages including Excel
- High numeracy skills to oversee the reconciliation of accounts/setting up DDs and able to enter data accurately on spreadsheets
- A confident and personable manner and able to deal with difficult conversations regarding debt
