Interim Head of Digital Platforms & Application Development

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Interim Head of Digital Platforms & Application Development (internal title: Head of Digital Experience & Development). This is a fixed term contract of 10 months, hybrid working from Portsmouth. Salary £64,475 - £73,718 per annum plus £6,250 sign-on and retention bonus.

Role Overview

The Digital Experience & Development team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] leads the development and implementation of the University’s digital presence across all core platforms (excluding UoP website), development of new digital solutions, and leading the move to Azure Integration Services. The Head of Digital Experience & Development will drive digital innovation, oversee CRM strategy, manage development teams, and ensure excellence in service delivery, user experience, security, accessibility, and information governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of digital strategy and roadmap for solutions development and core IS systems support (on-premise and cloud).
  • Oversee CRM strategy and roadmap aligned with university ambitions.
  • Manage Digital Development and CRM Teams, transitioning to new Microsoft technologies, Agile ways of working.
  • Support legacy application decommissioning or rebuilding in new technologies.
  • Act as key point of contact for digital development across the University, supporting major projects and strategic planning.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £64,475 - £73,718 per annum (actual salary £58,225 - £67,468 plus £6,250 sign-on and assignment retention bonus).
