Litigation and Contracts Solicitor

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Litigation and Contracts Solicitor to join their Legal Services Team in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This is a permanent, full-time or part-time role with a salary of £42,708 - £46,708 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad caseload covering contracts, environmental health, licensing, waste management, and health and safety law.
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake advocacy in the Magistrates Court, County Court, High Court, Planning Inquiries, Tribunals, and Arbitration Proceedings.
  • Draft legal documents, notices, and orders.
  • Handle enquiries from members of the public and advise Council Members on legal matters.
  • Manage officer and public complaints.

Person Specification

  • Qualified solicitor, barrister, or FILEX with a current practising certificate.
  • Experience in environmental health, licensing, waste management, and health and safety law.
  • Working knowledge of property, conveyancing, licensing, waste, and health and safety law.
  • Sound knowledge of local government law and practice.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to research and analyse complex information.
  • Experience dealing with the public.
