Data Governance Consultant

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a Data Asset Management Company. We are looking for a highly motivated Data Governance Consultant to join our team. This role is remote or hybrid with meetings in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, or London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the formation, implementation and management of data governance frameworks, policies and standards
  • Implement and establish wider data management competencies within organisations (such as data quality assurance, metadata management, master data management, data modelling, and development of data standards and data strategy)
  • Be responsible for understanding, capturing and advising on the management of client data risks and issues

The Person

  • Work independently, making impactful decisions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and monitor data governance frameworks across the data life cycle, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Lead continuous monitoring and improvement of data governance structures within large organisations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build capacity and capability for data governance.
  • Advocate for data governance policies and ensure they are applied across all levels.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Approach problem-solving analytically, with a keen awareness of risk, security, privacy, and ethics.
