Residential Support Worker – £10 – £12 p/h + Benefits – Birmingham, Dudley & Wolverhampton

The Role

Are you a Residential Support Worker with a desire to work with a company who empowers their employees? If so, submit your resume today! We are looking for a Residential Support Worker who will provide the highest quality care to the individuals with Learning Disabilities, mental health and complex needs. You will support individuals in achieving positive outcomes as outlined in their placement plans. As a Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a staff team, under the supervision of team leaders and management. Shifts: - 15 Hours x 3 days on and 3 days off rolling rota (Days). - 9.5 Hours x 3 nights on and 3 nights off rolling rota (Nights).

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive working and living environment, maintaining professionalism and co-operating as part of a team.
  • Take responsibility for your own training and development, to complete work set and to fully commit to learning opportunities.
  • provide high quality care and support for individuals in residential services and in the community.
  • Identify and follow all policies and procedures including the Codes of Practice for social care, including Quality Standards.
  • Support each person to maintain a high standard of personal care; including intimate care, personal hygiene, health and sexual health needs and awareness and any mobility support that is needed.
  • Support the medical health needs of individuals, inclusive of medication administration, medical appointments and therapeutic and mental health and wellbeing needs.

The Benefits

The Person

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working with adults with Learning disabilities or mental health in a care home.
  • Have or be willing to work towards a level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
