Job Overview
The post holder will deliver holistic, housing-related support to tenants across tenure using a person-centred approach, ensuring tenants maintain their tenancies and eviction is prevented.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, housing-related support to tenants and understand both short and longer-term needs.
- Work in partnership with external agencies and internal teams to tailor support.
- Support tenants directly or via referral for budgeting, life skills, employment, health, domestic abuse, safeguarding.
- Identify and explain suitable benefits, assist with applications and appeals.
- Record performance statistics for monitoring.
- Ensure awareness of tenant/landlord rights and legislation.
- Provide advice on tenancy risk issues (rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, property condition).
- Assist with resettlement of households with homelessness history.
- Encourage social inclusion and meaningful use of time.
- Support landlords to address tenancy management issues.
- Work remotely and support customers in their homes or at appointments.
- Attend statutory and voluntary partnership meetings.
- Attend training and development sessions.
- Maintain awareness of equalities and health & safety policies.
Qualifications
CIH Level 3 desirable.
