Warehouse Operative/Afternoon loader
Location: Milton Keynes | Salary: £29,000 per annum | Type: Permanent - Full Time | Shift: Monday to Friday 11am-7pm
Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Afternoon Loader to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. You will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate handling, and maintaining a safe work environment, with some office duties including manifesting paperwork using SAP. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and afternoon shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Sort and allocate products according to delivery schedules.
- Use lifting equipment where necessary and follow manual handling guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading area.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
- Some Office work - Creating Delivery Manifests - Re-printing delivery paperwork when required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment (preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
- FLT and Shunting experience Preferred. Full training provided
- Full UK Driving license
- A shunting license would be desirable
