Job Details

We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join our clients growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC milling machines, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet strict industry specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
  • Produce complex components from a range of materials, adhering to quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to achieve efficient and accurate machining operations
  • Attend SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People) meetings to contribute to process improvements
  • Ensure production meets planned set and run times and quality requirements
  • Communicate any issues or deviations from the planned process
  • Assist in maintaining a well-organised and efficient work environment

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience setting up and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
  • Proficiency in producing high-complexity components from a variety of materials
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and use various inspection equipment (e.g. micrometers, verniers, plug gauges)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry is desirable, but not essential
