Job Details

Electrical Design Engineer required for a growing engineering team supporting cutting-edge vehicle systems, upgrades and re-engineering projects. This is a pure design role focused on delivering high-quality electrical solutions across a wide variety of platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing and integrating electrical systems for complex products.

• Produce electrical drawings, design specifications, technical plans and reports
• Design and re-engineer components/systems for modifications, repairs and product enhancements
• Support system validation including test schedules, integration plans and technical investigation reports
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards
• Conduct self-verification and peer cross-checks for quality and completeness
• Ensure designs meet safety, manufacturability, cost, EMC, reliability and maintainability requirements

About You

• Degree / HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Strong electrical design experience using CREO (Pro-E) or NX
• Experience designing components/systems for new and existing products
• Ability to develop innovative engineering solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Project
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of Def Stan 61-5 Part 6 (12V/24V Vehicle Systems) and Def Stan 59-411 (EMC) with E3 electrical design package
• Must be able to obtain Security Clearance and have been in the UK for the last 5 years
