Maintenance Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing client in Kidderminster. Permanent, on-site role with salary £52k - 62k per year.

Job Details

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer required to join an established and successful manufacturing business offering competitive salary of over £52K and additional earning opportunities (shift cover overtime across the year pushing earnings to over £60K, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will be working for a well organised company within a supportive and innovative maintenance team on a wide range of heavy industry equipment dealing break downs, service and installation tasks as well as machine improvement and retrofitting activities. You will be level 3 qualified with a good grounding in machine maintenance able to repair hydraulics, bearings and pulleys etc with some fabrication welding ability.

Location: Kidderminster

Shifts: 4 on 4 off - Day and night

As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer You Will:

  • Install and maintain all electrical & electro-mechanical plant equipment, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards.
  • Conduct fault finding and repairs, enhancing the reliability of production processes.
  • Use various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy faults, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum level 3 qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, coupled with experience in a manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Apprenticeship served
  • A strong commitment to safety, with experience in health and safety best practices.
  • Experience and knowledge of motors and pneumatics.
  • Excellent team-playing skills, communication abilities, and a flexible approach to work.
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.

You will have current or previous experience working as multi-skilled maintenance engineer, shift engineer, maintenance fitter, maintenance engineer, automation engineer, maintenance technician, mechanical technician
