Job Details
CNC Setter required to join our clients manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading technologies, supporting high-speed 5-axis machining of automotive components in a fast-paced production environment. Available is a competitive salary of over £40K and good working hours and holiday provision. Work Hours: 37.5 hours on double days
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily production and resolve machining issues
- Set and optimise CNC machines for performance and quality
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Monitor part quality and adjust offsets to maintain capability
- Prove out new CNC programs, CNC setting and setting tooling, and fixtures
- Drive TPM and 5S initiatives across the shop floor
Essential Requirements
- Apprentice trained or formally qualified in CNC machining
- Proven experience setting CNC machines in a production environment
- Strong experience with 5-axis machining (aluminium preferred)
- Machining Centres / Milling Machines
- Knowledge of G & M code programming (Siemens controllers advantageous)
Desirable Skills
- ABB robot operation/programming
- Hydraulic clamping
- Knowledge of straightening processes
- Experience implementing 5S / lean manufacturing
