This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer. Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. We are seeking an organised and assertive Production Supervisor (Sheet Metal).
Job Description
- Setting weekly plans and targets to ensure the team meet the required daily output.
- Report daily on any issues with regards to receiving parts internally and the smooth flow of machines through the area.
- Monitoring and control of budgets.
- Responsibility for the control of risk assessments, staff training plans and SDQCP activities.
- Maintenance and control quality levels promoting high standards throughout the team.
- Ensuring the communication between departments and sections results in an effective supply and smooth flow of parts.
- Ensuring [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Health, Safety and Environmental rules are implemented.
- Promote a positive culture amongst staff by engaging them in health and safety improvements and kaizen initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement activities.
- Drive 5S activity within your team.
- Report and update the sections KPI results.
- Manage and lead a team of technicians and operators.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Proven leader, with deliverables in all key areas: SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & People).
- Can do attitude.
- Experience working within a Supervisory role.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection processes.
- Commitment to maintaining health and safety compliance in the workplace.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions quickly.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
- Experience in planning and scheduling production to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage resources efficiently and reduce downtime.
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop a team to achieve production targets.
- Skilled in handling performance issues and fostering a positive work environment.
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
