Metrology Engineer required to join a market leader in the production of car components. My client is seeking a skilled Metrology Engineer to support dimensional control, measurement systems, and continuous improvement within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment using CMM and GOM. Key Responsibilities

• Program and maintain CMM (Calypso) and GOM (blue light scanning) systems
• Perform dimensional analysis and support production & NPI activities
• Lead measurement system validation (MSA) and dimensional reviews
• Apply Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and structured problem-solving techniques
• Analyse data using advanced Excel and SPC/Minitab to improve process capability
• Support APQP/PPAP activities and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Drive continuous improvement across metrology and wider operations

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing / automotive environment
• Strong understanding of GD&T and CMM programming or GOM
• Knowledge of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA)
• Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Familiarity with IATF 16949
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Desirable

• Degree in Engineering or related field
• Six Sigma certification
• Experience with GOM systems Ziess Inspect
• Calypso CMM
