The Role

This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for carrying out efficient and safe tool changes across injection and blow moulding machinery, ensuring production runs smoothly and downtime is minimised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out tool changes in line with setting sheets and target times
  • Prepare and set up all required secondary equipment
  • Accurately complete all tool change documentation
  • Identify and report any faults with tools, dyes, or machinery
  • Support basic maintenance activities when required
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
  • Return tools and dyes to the toolroom after use

Candidate Requirements

  • FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with tool and dye changes on injection and/or blow moulding machines
  • Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines
  • Lifting and slinging experience
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop

  • Supporting reduced downtime and improved machine efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Building strong knowledge of machinery and processes
