Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with aircraft system specialists to understand test requirements and develop testing methods.
  • Conceptualise and design detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings for custom test rigs using CAD.
  • Specify actuators, sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems, and produce P&IDs.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure test rigs are fit for purpose and meet engineering requirements.
  • Validate designs using hand calculations and FEA while supporting in-house prototype builds.
  • Prepare technical reports to document progress and findings effectively.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in rig design and testing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD for modelling parts and assemblies, along with the ability to produce detailed drawings.
  • Ability to manage workload independently, prioritise tasks, and identify solutions with a hands-on approach.
