Compliance Manager / Specialist

Job Description

Compliance Manager/Officer role within aerospace and defence. Embed compliance requirements into design, review designs against military standards, develop compliance matrices and certification plans, support risk assessments and safety cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed compliance and certification requirements into engineering design from concept stages.
• Translate international defence regulations into practical engineering requirements.
• Review engineering designs for adherence to military, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain compliance matrices, certification plans, and regulatory roadmaps.
• Support technical design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance testing strategies.
• Prepare compliance documentation including certification evidence packs, safety cases, and regulatory reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree advantageous but not essential.
• 5-10+ years experience in defence, aerospace, or safety-critical engineering environments.
• Understanding of engineering design and systems exposure in complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Knowledge of defence or safety-critical regulatory frameworks including military and safety standards.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
