As a Test Rig Design Senior Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing bespoke test rigs and fixtures that play a pivotal role in vehicle testing and development.

What You Will Do

• Design and deliver bespoke test rigs and fixtures, from concept to completion, using advanced CAD tools such as Catia V6.
• Create detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing parts at internal workshops and external suppliers.
• Collaborate with customers to identify testing requirements, ensuring rigs meet performance expectations.
• Work closely with workshop fitters and supervisors to oversee the assembly and delivery of test rigs.
• Validate designs through hand calculations, kinematics, Multibody Simulations (MBS), and FEA/CAE.
• Produce technical reports and review junior team members' designs to ensure quality and functionality.

What You Will Bring

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies related to road vehicle testing.
• Familiarity with vehicle architecture, components, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and interpreting complex 2D drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques and the ability to optimise designs accordingly.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage workloads and deliver projects on time.
