This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and expanding environmental consultancy, supporting a wide range of projects across the residential, commercial, renewable energy, infrastructure and land management sectors. The role combines fieldwork, technical reporting, mentoring junior staff, and client liaison, ensuring high quality, timely project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree–qualified (or equivalent) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in ecological fieldwork and protected species surveys
  • Holder of Natural England survey licences for at least two protected species
  • Member (or working towards membership) of CIEEM
  • Strong understanding of UK ecological legislation, policy, and best practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and team–focused, with strong mentoring abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required

Desirable

  • EPS mitigation licence application experience
  • Familiarity with GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS)
  • Previous experience in multi–disciplinary environmental projects
  • Interest in business development and client relationship management
