Role Overview

The Group Sustainability Manager role is to support the delivery of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]' global sustainability strategy, with a focus on leading the monitoring, reporting and delivery against our carbon, energy, waste and water commitments. The role facilitates cross-functional collaboration and drives internal engagement and awareness throughout the broader organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the design and implementation of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]' global environmental strategy
  • Recommends and reports on internal and external sustainability targets, including carbon emissions, energy usage, water usage and waste management
  • Delivers progress against key environmental goals including carbon neutrality, 42% reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030, net zero by 2045, reduce water intensity by 30%, zero waste to landfill by 2030
  • Lead environmental reporting for ESG disclosures including Annual Report, TCFD, CDP and customer submissions
  • Monitors external landscape on regulatory requirements and competitor benchmarking
  • Develop and execute internal engagement strategy to boost sustainability education and awareness
  • Contributes to budget planning for the function
  • Owns the environmental data collection, validation and assurance processes
  • Represents [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in external sustainability networks and regulatory bodies

Desirable Criteria

  • Strong interest in reducing climate change impacts
  • Technical expertise in climate sustainability including Scope 1,2,3 corporate footprinting (GHG protocol and SBTi standards)
  • Exceptional data analysis skills
  • Highly collaborative with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Track record in developing and implementing new initiatives
  • Experience in a FMCG or retail environment
  • Knowledge of sustainability regulatory frameworks such as TCFD and ISSB
  • Degree in business management, sustainability or related fields
